Syria denies crimes against humanity charge; regime forces kill 29

Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem has denied the High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay's accusation that his country is committing crimes against humanity, claiming that the UN "is subject to manipulation by certain countries that want to harm Syria."

Meanwhile, Al Arabiya reported that 29 were killed by Syrian security forces across the country on Tuesday. Opposition activists said that three of the victims were tortured first. (Roi Kais and AFP)
