Moscow will not support UN Assembly Syria draft

Russia will not support a UN General Assembly draft resolution calling on Syrian President Bashar Assad to stop deadly attacks on civilians, a source told the Interfax news agency Thursday.

"In its current form the draft is of an unbalanced character and does not take account of our position," the "informed source" told the agency ahead of a vote expected later Thursday on the draft proposed by Arab states. (AFP)
