IAF to get Italian jet

The Defense Ministry has chosen an Italian jet as the newest IAF training plane. The new jet was chosen over the competing South Korean plane in a bidding war.
The deal is estimated at $1 billion and will provide Israel with 30 jets by 2015. Italy has agreed on a similar business transaction with Israel, in which it will purchase Israeli spy planes and satellites. (Yoav Zitun)
