Government to pay for Israeli's expenses in al-Dura trial

Ministerial Committee on Legislative Affairs decided to pay all trial expenses for Dr. Yehuda David who recently won his appeal in a French court in the Al-Dura case. The vote was unanimous.
Science and Technology Minister Daniel Hershkowitz said: "Dr. David gave a great service for the country; funding his trial is the least we can do for him as a sign of gratitude and appreciation." French Supreme Court acquitted on Wednesday the Israeli doctor accused of slandering Jamal al-Dura, and overruled the fine of €13,000. (Aviad Glickman)
