Strauss CEO: Chocolate price difference in US due to Purim

CEO of Strauss Israel Zion Balas commented Sunday on claims that the company's products are sold for lower prices abroad than in Israel. "We have done everything we could to lower the prices," Balas said, and mentioned that as Purim approaches, retailers in Jewish communities overseas offer special prices for Elite candy bars.
Balas was responding to a new Facebook protest surrounding a photograph showing that a Pesek Zman candy bar in the US costs only 69 cents (2.60 NIS) compared to NIS 6.30 in Israel. (Meirav Crystal)
