Livni: Eshel's resignation empowers women

Opposition Chairwomen Tzipi Livni said Sunday Israel can't be a country where men harass women subordinate to them. Livni was responding to a plea bargain reached with Natan Eshel, the former prime minister's bureau chief who admitted to inappropriate conduct involving a government employee.
"After a president was convicted for rape, and a man of such high rank is stepping down for harassment, women are encouraged to complain without fear," Livni said in the Annual Conference for Women's Leadership in Israel. (Moran Azulay)
