Syrian security forces injured four youth on Monday when they fired live ammunition at a night demonstration against President Bashar al-Assad in Damascus, activists said.
"There were hundreds of demonstrators at the main square of Hajar al-Aswad and suddenly buses of security police and shabbiha (pro-Assad militia) turned up and started firing at the crowd. The four were taken to be treated at homes," Abu Abdallah, one of the activists, said. (Reuters)
