US official: Iran ships docked in Syria carried arms, oil
Military dossiers regarding two Iranian ships that had recently docked in a Syrian port indicate the vessels carried weapons and oil, an American military official told the London-based Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper.
He said the arms and oil were shipped to Syria to help embattled President Bashar Assad, adding that US vessels in the Mediterranean Sea were monitoring the Iranian ships. (Roi Kais)
