PM: We'll draft new enlistment bill with better sharing of burden

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to the cancellation of the Tal Law by the High Court of Justice on Tuesday and said that a new bill bringing about better "sharing of the burden by all segments of Israeli society" will be drafted in the coming months. The Tal Law, which exempts yeshiva students from army service, will expire in August 2012. (Moran Azulay)
