Dr. Yoaz Hendel has resigned from his post as the head of the National Information Directorate due to criticism leveled by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at his senior aides over their handling of the Natan Eshel affair.
Netanyahu said he was disappointed that senior members of his bureau, including Hendel, did not involve him in the decision to report Eshel, the bureau chief, to the attorney general over alleged sexual misconduct. Sources close to the case said that "the resignation is not final." (Moran Azulay)
