US holds talks in Myanmar on recovery of soldiers
A senior US defense official has held talks in Myanmar this week on possible resumption of remains recovery of US soldiers lost in the country during World War II.
The Defense Department said Friday that Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Bob Newberry led the interagency delegation to begin policy negotiations on the issue. There are approximately 730 Americans unaccounted for in Myanmar, mostly US air crews lost in the north of the country during the war. (AP)
