January sees demand for houses drop 19%
Data by the Central Bureau of Statistics indicate that the demand for apartments dropped 19% in January 2012, compared with 2011.
The data reveal a demand for 3,370 apartments in January, of them 1,890 new apartments which were sold to private owners. Statistics also showed a 34% demand for new apartments in central Israel, compared to only 9% in Jeruslaem and in the Haifa area. (Hila Zion)
