The Ministerial Committee on Legislative Affairs voted unanimously against a bill proposed by MK Zahava Gal-On (Meretz) to permit public transportation to operate on Saturdays.
In addition, the committee rejected a bill by MK Shelly Yachimovich (Labor) on cooling-off periods. Yachimovich suggested cutting cooling-off period for high-ranked security personnel from three to one year before they can be elected for parliament. (Aviad Glickman)
