Netanyahu: Abbas' speech on Jerusalem – irresponsible incitement

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' speech in Qatar "a speech of severe incitement."

"Abbas knows very well that his slanderous statements are groundless, including the baseless and irresponsible claims over the al-Aqsa mosque," Netanyahu said. Earlier, Abbas told a the International Conference for the Defense of Jerusalem that "We will encourage the Arabs and Muslims to visit Jerusalem in order to strengthen our hold on the city."
