The Histadrut has declared a labor dispute with Israeli airlines El Al, Arkia and IsraAir in light of the Civila Aviation Authority and Transport Ministry's decision to introduce an "open skies" policy without any preliminary negotiations with the employees.
The Histadrut announcement stated that the "open skies" policy could hurt 25,000 aviation sector employees. The Histadrut has also declared a labor dispute with the Department of Public Works and other State offices. (Ran Rimon)
