5 killed in attack on Ivorian voting station

At least five people were killed late on Sunday when unidentified attackers fired automatic weapons at a polling station in western Ivory Coast, hours after voting had ended, an official said on Monday.

The locality of Bonon, about 180 miles west of Abidjan, is one of several areas that had to organise a rerun of voting in the West African state's parliamentary election after some results from the December poll were annulled over irregularities. (Reuters)
