PM lauds Beinisch, democratic justice system

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised outgoing Chief Justice Dorit Beinisch and lauded the merits of the democratic justice system during a swearing-in ceremony held for incoming Supreme Court President Asher Grunis.

"We all greatly appreciate the important work done by the Supreme Court and the democratic justice system," he said. Addressing Beinisch, he added: "You have proudly headed the judicial branch in Israel. It wasn't an easy period. The justice system has come under attack more than once… these attacks were unsuccessful." (Aviad Glickman)
