Precedential ruling: East J'lem couple convicted of enslavement

The Jerusalem District Court has convicted a couple residing in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Shuafat on charges of enslavement.

The couple was convicted barring a Filipino maid from leaving their home alone, and limiting her contact with the outside world. They also withheld her passport and forced her to work long hours without allowing her to take vacations.(Aviad Glickman)
