Russian opposition leader: Elections illegitimate

Communist leader Gennady Zyuganov called the Russian presidential vote “unfair, dishonest and unworthy.” Zyuganov was placed second after Prime Minister Vladimir Putin in Sunday's presidential elections, according to exit polls.

Speaking on Russian television, Zyuganov said that instead of ensuring that each of the five presidential candidates get equal treatment, the “huge and corrupt government machinery… worked only for Putin.”

"We don't recognize these elections as legitimate," he said. (News Agencies)
