Saudi Arabia calls on Assad to halt violence in Syria, implement reforms

Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal said that Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz has contacted Syrian President Bashar Assad on three separate occasions and advised him to halt the current streak of violence and start implementing genuine reforms in the country.

Speaking at a GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) foreign ministers' meeting, Prince Al-Faisal made it clear that there will be room for dialog once the bloodshed ends. (Roi Kais)
