State to pay southern residents who missed work due to rocket fire
None
Private sector employees who had to stay home from work to watch their kids due to the latest round of rocket fire on the south are to be paid by the State for the days they missed. Moreover, employers are to be compensated as well.
The decision was reached in a meeting between the Treasury, the Histadrut labor federation and employers. The arrangement will be in effect until the end of 2012, and is to be subsequently reexamined. (Avital Lahav and Ran Rimon)
