Azerbaijan: 22 arrested for plotting to attack Israeli, US embassies

Azerbaijan has arrested 22 people suspected of plotting, with Iran's support, to attack Israel and United

States embassies in Baku, authorities said Wednesday.

"Twenty-two Azerbaijani citizens were arrested by the National Security Ministry for cooperating with Iran… they were preparing to carry out attacks against the United States, Israeli embassies and other Western states' (embassies) and their employees," the ministry said in a statement. (AFP)
