Thousands take part in Vizhnitzer rebbe's funeral

Thousands of mourners are taking part in the funeral of Rabbi Moshe Yehoshua Hager, the Vizhnitzer rebbe, in Bnei Brak. The rabbi, who passed away late Tuesday, led the second largest hassidic sect in Israel for some 40 years.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sent his condolences to the rabbi's family and followers Wednesday morning: "We have lost a dear man, an exemplary figure, a great leader and the head of one the biggest and most significant communities of the Jewish world." (Kobi Nahshoni)
