IMF urges countries to honor aid promises to PA

The International Monetary Fund on Saturday called (IMF) on donor countries to honor their pledges of aid to the Palestinian Authority, whose economy is struggling and could further deteriorate, according to the organization.
The Palestinian economy has entered a "difficult phase" with a significant decline in liquidity which has increased since last year due to a drop in aid money from Western and Gulf countries, and because of trade restrictions imposed by Israel, the IMF said in a report. (AFP)
