The city of Kiryat Malachi and Be'er Tuvia Regional Council appealed to the Israeli High Court of Justice against the Committee for National Infrastructure's decision to build a gas powered plant in the vicinity of the two cities. They claim that the future power plant is located in range of rocket fire from the Gaza Strip.
Head of the Be'er Tuvia Regional Council Dror Shor said: "Just last week over ten rockets were fired at the area. We hope the government stops the building before a disaster occurs." (Neri Brener)
