Defense ministry to determine Gilad Shalit's disability status

The defense ministry has announced that Gilad Shalit will be summoned before the Rehabilitation Department, in light of his request to be recognized as a disabled IDF veteran, so they might determine his disability status.

 

After nearly seven years in service Gilad Shalit is finally getting discharged from the IDF. Sergeant First Class Shalit is scheduled to be discharged in two weeks, four and half months after being released from Hamas captivity. Upon his return to Israel he was recognized as a disabled IDF veteran and underwent a shrapnel removal surgery. (Yoav Zitun)
