Israel sends condolences over death of Coptic pope

Jerusalem's Foreign Ministry has offered its condolences to Christian Copts over the death of their religious leader Pope Shenouda III, the Patriarch of the country’s Coptic Orthodox Church, who died Saturday at the age of 88.
"Pope Shenouda was an important spiritual leader… he contributed to brotherhood and co-existence in Egypt," the Foreign Ministry's statement read. (Ynet)
