German FM: Anti-Semitism has no place in Europe

German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle expressed his "deep shock" over the shooting that took place outside a Jewish school in the French city of Toulouse, adding that Berlin offers its "compassion and condolences" to the victims and their families.

"Anti-Semitism and violence against Jewish institutions or against people of Jewish faith have no place in Europe and must be fought with conviction," he added. (AFP)
