Ashton says her remarks were 'grossly distorted'

The European Union's foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton issued a statement Tuesday following the uproar she caused with remarks that compared the attack on a Jewish school in Toulouse which claimed the lives of three children and one adult to the killing of children in Gaza.
Ashton condemned the Toulouse killings and said "her words were grossly distorted by one of the news agencies." A statement issued on her behalf said, "Ashton drew no parallel whatsoever between the circumstances of the Toulouse attack and the situation in Gaza. " (Ynet)
