PLO official: Hamas hinders reconciliation with Fatah

Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) official Ashraf al-Ajarmi said Hamas is intentionally hindering the reconciliation process with Fatah for fear of losing rulership over Gaza.
"Hamas understand that the route of terror, which has lead to hunger and killing in Gaza, has not won over the support of the Palestinian public, so Hamas leaders are trying to avoid the implementation of the reconciliation treaty," said al-Ajarmi, a former Minister for Prisoner Affairs in the Palestinian Authority.
