Ashdod official arrested on suspicion of accepting bribes

The police have arrested a senior elected official from Ashdod on suspicion of accepting bribes. The official was arrested at Ben Gurion Airport upon his return from at trip. Meanwhile, officers raided his home.

Several other officials have been arrested on similar charges as part of a sweeping fraud investigation in the southern city. (Eli Senyor)
