Railways chairman, transportation minister meet urgently ahead of strike

Israel Railways Chairman Boaz Zafrir has been called in for an urgent meeting with Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz, Ynet has learned.

The Histadrut Labor Federation has announced that Railways employees are to go on strike on Tuesday. Sources at the Transportation Ministry said that the unplanned meeting does not portend a breakthrough in the labor dispute, asserting that the solution could only come through negotiations between Israel Railways and the Histradrut.
