Syrian MPs ask Assad to postpone elections

The Syrian parliament has asked President Bashar Assad to postpone the parliamentary election, which are scheduled for May 7, the official news agency SANA reported.
According to the report, the MPs requested the delay to prepare for the reforms Assad had announced in the past. (AFP)
