High Court freezes export of monkeys to US lab

The High Court of Justice issued an injunction against the Mazor farm which effectively freezes a shipment of 90 monkeys to the US for animal testing. The injunction will be in effect pending a new ruling after Passover.
The court called on the attorney general to provide the government with his opinion on the export and import of monkeys for animal testing purposes prior to the next hearing on the case. (Erez Erlichman)
