Official: PA, Israel negotiating release of Palestinian hunger striker

Palestinian Minister Hussein a-Sheikh said that the PA is negotiation the release of an administrative detainee and an Islamic Jihad operative, Hanaa Shalabi, who has been jailed in Israel for the past four months. Shalabi has been on a hunger strike for over a month in protest of her detention.
A-Sheikh said that the Israeli authorities are considering the request but have yet to give a final answer. (Elior Levy)
