Report: Hamas to elect politburo chief in April

Arab media outlets reported that Hamas' Shura Council will elect a new politburo chief in the first week of April.

Palestinian Sources said that Hamas leaders and Arab governments are pressing the incumbent chief, Khaled Mashaal, to announce his candidacy for a third term, but so far he has declined to do so. (Elior Levy)
