Fischer: Tax hike if defense budget increased

Bank of Israel Governor Stanley Fischer said geo-political developments in neighboring countries and Iran call for a higher defense budget. "If the government decides to significantly increase the defense budget, we (citizens) will have to pay for it," he said.
"A country should pay (for budget increases) through taxation and not deficits," Fischer explained. (Avital Lahav)
