Immigration police protest employment terms, delay deportations
The police's immigration division, the Oz Unit, has postponed the deportation of nine foreign nationals in protest against the officers' employment term.
The Histadrut Labor Federation said in a statement that "the decision to bolster the protest efforts was made after the Immigration Authority issued threats against employees." The Population and Immigration Authority responded by calling for direct talks. (Omri Efraim)
