Toulouse mayor refuses Islamist killer's burial in city
The mayor of Toulouse does not want a French murderer Mohammed Merah to be buried in the city and has delayed his funeral, set for Thursday afternoon, by 24 hours, city hall said.
"Following Algeria's last minute refusal to accept Mohammed Merah's body, (mayor) Pierre Cohen feels that his burial within the city of Toulouse is inappropriate. So he has asked the regional prefect to delay the burial 24 hours," city hall said. (AFP)
