Border Guard officer's appeal against abuse conviction rejected

The High Court has rejected an appeal filed by Shani Sivilya who was sentenced to three months in prison after she was convicted of physically abusing a Palestinian minor when she was serving as a Border guard officer in 2009.

High court judges also rejected the State's appeal over the sentence. Sivilya will now begin serving her sentence on May 1. (Aviad Glickman)
