Barak: Machpelah house residents evicted
Defense Minister Ehud Barak said after the evacuation of the Machpelah house in Hebron: "I will continue to work towards upholding the law and democracy while safeguarding the State's authority over its citizens."
Barak added that the request for a transaction permit and the legality of the purchase would continue to be looked into in a professional manner but added: "We will not allow a situation where actions that are against the law are taken in an attempt to dictate to the authority." (Attila Somfalvi)
