Papua New Guinea votes to delay elections
Papua New Guinea's parliament voted on Thursday to delay national elections scheduled for later this year by six months, prolonging a political crisis in the resource-rich South Pacific nation.
Parliament was told electoral rolls were not ready and police were not ready to provide enough security for the polls, Australian Broadcasting Corp radio said. (Reuters)
