Shalit urges Peres to push for Pollard's release
Former Hamas captive Gilad Shalit has signed a petition urging President Shimon Peres to help free the spy Jonathan Pollard from US prison.
The petition links Pollard's plight to US President Barack Obama's announced intention to award Peres with Presidential Medal of Freedom. (Aviel Magnezi)
