Thousands of Egyptians rallied in Cairo's Tahrir Square in support of an Islamist presidential candidate, Hazem Abu Ismail.
The candidate for the Salafist al-Nur party may be disqualified from May's presidential election on the grounds that his mother was a US citizen. (AFP)
