Syria calls for deployment of int'l monitors

Syria's Foreign Minister Walid Muallem said the government has begun withdrawing their forces from some Syrian cities. He added that that the ceasefire must start simultanously with the deployment of the international observer mission.

Meanwhile, opposition operatives reported that six soldiers were attacked and killed in Northeastern Syria. (News agencies)
