Annan: Syrian government said will respect ceasefire

International Envoy on Syria Kofi Annan said he has received assurances from the Syrian government by which they will respect the ceasefire.

During a visit to Tehran, the Iranian foreign minister told Annan that the Syrian government must be given an opportunity to make the changes promised by Assad. (Reuters)
