USGS reports 5.8 magnitude quake off western Java
A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 struck offshore western Java in Indonesia at a depth of 27.3 miles, the US Geological Survey said on Saturday.
There were no immediate reports of damage or tsunami warnings after the quake, which the USGS said struck 111 miles west of Sukabumi in Java. (Reuters)
