Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu conveyed his thanks Israeli police for its successful handling of the pro-Palestinian fly-in at the Ben Gurion Airport. "The preparation of all elements involved, both operational and diplomatic, had proved itself," he said. "The world today has a better understanding of where the Middle East's true problems lie."
A total of 79 pro-Palestinian activists landed in Israel, of which 13 were sent back to their countries of origin. Several dozen were transferred to a holding facility in Givon. Others are expected to leave Israel later on Sunday. (Attila Somfalvi and Eli Senyor)
