Denmark seeks clarification from Israel over activist's beating

The Danish Foreign Ministry on Monday asked Israel for clarifications over the incident on Saturday in which a Danish activist was beaten with an M-16 by an IDF soldier. Danish Foreign Minister Villy Sovndal said: "We do not yet know the circumstances surrounding the incident. The Danish ambassador has immediately asked the Israeli authorities for an explanation…
"But I can see that the soldier involved was immediately suspended and the matter now being investigated…We must all condemn the use of force against demonstrators. " (Ynet)
