Gaza sniper hits Israeli home?

Bullet hits southern Israel home; officials believe Palestinian sniper behind attack
Neri Brener|
A bullet hit a house Friday in the southern Israel community of Netiv Ha'asara, which is located right next to the Gaza Strip.
Police officials suspect that the bullet was fired by a Palestinian sniper from Gaza. No injuries were reported in the apparent attack.
A resident in the southern community heard the whistle of the bullet while walking in a street that faces Gaza Strip homes. Subsequently, the man noticed a bullet hole in the wall of a nearby home.
The Sderot police launched an investigation into the incident.
At this time, officials do not see any other possibility except for a Gaza attack targeting Israeli civilians. Given the short distance between the Strip and homes in Netiv Ha'asara, authorities believe the bullet was indeed fired by a sniper in Gaza.
